Project Log 12/10/13
In this lesson i was finishing off my key concepts presentation, codes and conventions, audience, representation and institution. We also got our targets back after Mrs Baker read through our blogs, i had to touch up my analysis' on front cover, contents and double page spread, and also analyse my names/masthead ideas.
Project Log 5/10/13
In this lesson i was carrying on with my coursework, looking through other peoples blogs and seeing what i had to catch up with. i realised that i did have quite a lot to catch up on, i finished off my target audience presentation and then started on my key concepts, ensuring i included the Uses and Gratification Theory.

Project Log 24/09/13
In the lesson today we started sketches for our preliminary task. We have to produce a front cover and contents page for a school magazine. I called my magazine 'Haydon Daily'. After creating the sketches of my two pages, we went onto the computers to create them in InDesign. After I had learnt how to use InDesign, because it was our first time using the software, I started creating my front cover and contents page. Ensuring my work was catching the audiences attention and making it clear to read, whilst keeping the house style e.g. colours and fonts.

Log 1/10/13
In this lesson I had
finished my Preliminary Task and posted it onto my blog, later in the lesson I made my mood board for my magazine after I had thought about what genre to
choose and how the target audience will feel encouraged to read the magazine. I
have chosen the genre rap/Rnb for my magazine as it a target audience of people
around my age so I know will know about what people my age look for in a music
magazine. I also started doing front cover analysis of 3 different music
magazine.
Project Log 8/10/13
In
this lesson I finished off my front cover analysis and also analysed 3 contents
pages, I started to analyse 3 double page spread pages but didn’t quite finish
it. I am now starting to tidy up my blog and add things on their that need to
be added, for example, key concepts, surveys etc.
Project Log 16/10/13
In
this lesson I am carrying on from my last lesson and finishing my double page
spread analysis. I am also looking through peoples blogs and seeing what I have
to catch up on, I am starting to make a survey and do a presentation on key
concepts.
Project Log 23/10/13
In this lesson I had Ms Baker look over my blog and give
me feedback on what I had to do better and what I can add. After that I improved on what I
got told to, such as adding more detail in my analysis’ and my mood board. I
have also added my target audience presentation, which highlights the age,
gender and social class of who I am targeting my magazine at and what they are
interested in, for example, hobbies.
